The rapid and life-transforming advance of the gospel described in the book of Acts came as believers expected great things from God. This led them to do everything possible to apply the gospel in their own lives and share it with others. They were BOLD for the gospel, and we believe God is calling us to be BOLD today.

BOLD is a two-year adventure to see what happens when we as a church sync up with the mission of the gospel and become BOLDLY generous with our finances and our lives.  Our goal is to raise $4.85 million over the next two years to allow our church to be bold for our mission, for the community, and for the world.

Our total goal for next 24 months = 4.85 million

BOLD FOR OUR MISSION – 2.2 million

Crossbridge’s mission for the past 12 years has been to “honor God by making growing followers of Jesus Christ.” We want to see many many people meet Jesus, mature in their relationship with Jesus and make more Jesus followers.  We believe this is what Jesus has called us to in His great commission as found in Matthew 28. BOLD will provide the resources we need to continue creating gospel-centered environments that equip people to take their next step on their spiritual journey. We will be able to fund and staff our current ministries in such a way that we can fully embody God’s call on this church.

Bold is an opportunity for people far from God to be transformed into growing followers of Jesus Christ through gospel using our generosity.

We believe the local church is God’s plan “A” for spreading the gospel in the world. We devote significant amounts of time, energy, and resources to ensure people who make their way to Crossbridge are challenged and equipped to grow in their relationship with Jesus. We have created strategic environments for all ages to discuss, digest and delight in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How does Crossbridge advance the gospel in Ft Bend County?

…our friends and neighbors are greeted and taken care of by our Guest Services team. Whether it’s helping with kids through our wagons, finding kids check-in, a classroom or a seat, people are valued and feel welcomed because of this teams efforts week in and week out to make sure the only thing that could be offensive to someone at Crossbridge might be the gospel.

…our Guest Services Team and Porch Team volunteers help create special Sundays (Birthday Party, Hot Dogs on the Porch, etc) where we have a tool to invite our friends who are far from God to church that Sunday.

…we connect with God during our worship services. Our Worship & Media ministry creates gospel-centered experiences that engage people and proclaim the life changing reality of Jesus the help people consider their next step in following Jesus.

…parent utilize Crossbridge Kids. They entrust their kids to a team of volunteers who are committed to creating safe, clean, gospel-centered environment where children learn to trust and treasure Jesus.

…Community Groups gather together all around Fort Bend County to connect relationally and grow spiritually. We train and empower leaders so they can develop healthy places for people to learn, pray, care for, and form deep meaning relationships as we journey together. It is in our Community Groups we seek to apply the gospel to our hearts to a greater degree.

…middle and high school students are challenged to take their next step as growing followers of Jesus Christ. Our student ministry is growing and helping students connect with Jesus and each other by providing large and small group environments that work in conjunction with special events, trip and camps.

BOLD will allow us to better to reach more people with the gospel and serve the people who call Crossbridge home. We don’t anyone to settle for a tame faith but we want to encourage and equip them to be BOLD in their faith!  BOLD will allow us for the next two years to continue to create and improve our environments to see people transformed by the gospel.

BOLD is about becoming radically generous people which means thinking beyond ourselves and our present moment. BOLD will equip us to be ready to reach more people far from God in Fort Bend County and position ourselves for future generations.

Crossbridge met at Sartartia Middle School for our first 6 &1/2 years.  In 2009 we moved into 15,000 sq.ft. of space at 1049 Eldridge.  We do not own our Eldridge location but signed a 10-year lease.  In 2013 we needed more space for our growing number of children and student ministry, so we lease a little over 4000 sq.ft. for that growing ministry.  Even after having almost 20,000 sqft now, there have been many Sundays were the auditorium in 80% full and our kids and students classrooms are very full.  Praise God for this growth! People are meeting Jesus and growing spiritually

The Elders of Crossbridge spent about a year praying and looking into what options we had for our growing church that would set us for, Lord-willing, a fruitful future. They have considered leasing more space, buying existing buildings and purchasing property.  The Elders do not feel that long term leasing (while being great for us these past years) is the best long-term use of the financial resources that God provides us.

With the help of a commercial real estate agent we have identified 14 acres in the heart of Fort Bend County that we believe will be ideal for our long-term future.  We believe that 14 acres will give us enough space to grow and reach people for years to come.  We will be able to put down long-term roots in a place where we are positioned for the continual growth of Fort Bend County.

Our God-sized dream is to purchase this 14 acres, build a facility on it and move into it as a new mission base when our lease us up in 4 years.

Crossbridge has a great desire to impact our world by investing in strategic ministry partners, short-term mission trip, and starting new gospel-centered churches. BOLD is not just for Crossbridge and immediate community but for our world around us!

Crossbridge loves children so we invest in children that our outside our walls as well.  We continue to minister to the children of North Richmond through our partnership with Attack Poverty.  Through Attack Poverty we tutor children, do home repair and facilitate a Vacation Bible School every summer with other churches for the children of North Richmond.

We partner with Compassion International because they are committed to Christ, children, the local church and integrity. Since our partnership formed over 100 Crossbridge families have sponsored children worldwide and in El Salvador specifically enabling them to receive educational training, healthcare, social skills development and Christian Discipleship. BOLD will take our partnership to a whole new level as Crossbridge will begin to sponsor a Child Survival Program (CSP). A CSP reaches out to young, vulnerable mothers and children to equip and empower them toward social interaction, nutrition, economic wellbeing and spiritual foundations.  BOLD will enable to sponsor a Child Survival Program in El Salvador!

Crossbridge has helped plant 15 new churches in our twelve years of existence! We have partnered with the Acts 29 Network, Union Baptist Association and the Houston Church Planting Network to resource and fund churches in Katy, Pearland, the Heights, West University, Medical Center, Oklahoma, and San Francisco! BOLD will enable us to expand our partnership with these organizations and give more resources so that more gospel-centered churches can be planted in Houston and beyond.

BOLD will also enable us to expand the number of missionaries that we support going to international soil in Jesus name and mobilize our own people for short-term mission trips!
